Description
Well, guys I went through my old drawings of my two top main characters....they suck. I mean, the setting I'm going for in the overall story is that of a gothic tone.
I just didn't feel that from how I used to draw them. Bright colors? Smiles all the time? How's that gothic in ANY WAY?
Ah well, so I tried to come up with something different. I'm penciling the hair in as black for each character despite what their hair colors are normally and I'm leaving it in a sketch like form to bring out the grayscale. So no more colors! And I want the smiles to be mre realistic in these. Like really genuine smiles, sad smiles, nervous smiles, and maniacal grins.
I don't want exagerrated facial expressions. NO! NO MORE OF THAT! ><
I just want it real. If I can...so maybe you guys can tell me how I'm doing? I mean, do you like it this way or do you like it better the older way. Because I much prefer this way!
It gives it personality and depth.

I think Ivan should keep his long hair...because guys having long hair isn't unrealistic and he just looks better that way..same with millia...looks better before..what yuu need to do is develop a gothic style not change designs to "fit" the criteria.
